Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for a crispy topping)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare the Pork Chops:
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and paprika.
3. Sear the Pork Chops (Optional):
- For added flavor, you can sear the pork chops before baking. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned. Transfer to a baking dish.
4. Prepare the Broccoli:
- In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with 1 tbsp olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
5. Assemble the Dish:
- If you seared the pork chops, place them in a baking dish. If not, simply place the seasoned pork chops in a baking dish.
- Arrange the seasoned broccoli around the pork chops in the baking dish.
6. Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). The broccoli should be tender and slightly crisped.
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the broccoli during the last 5 minutes of baking.
7. Finish and Serve:
- Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
